 I designed and led a masterclass that turned our entire nine-person editorial team, none of whom had prior experience creating social-first video, into confident, regular producers of content for Gear Patrol's Instagram and YouTube Shorts channels.  Building the program from scratch, I sourced and standardized an accessible equipment package, created a curriculum that balanced creative fundamentals with fast, repeatable production techniques, and structured the entire experience into an intensive 3-day sprint that could realistically fit within a working editorial schedule. 

My goal wasn't just training, it was systems design with an emphasis on making video production sustainable for writers and editors who had never created video content professionally, giving them frameworks they could return to independently long after the sprint ended. 

The result was a fundamental shift in our editorial workflow, with staffers who once relied solely on written content becoming self-sufficient creators, expanding Gear Patrol's social output and reach without adding headcount or slowing down the team's core editorial work.

Hi, I’m Mykim.

I’m a full stack creator who works across mediums. I craft brand narratives, original video content, digital strategies + community.

My first entrepreneurial venture, a custom made, skateboard design company, was created with my life long friend at the age of 17. 


When I’m not making things, you’ll find me in the water, reading multiple books, investigating digital ethics, or facilitating pathways to nature as a means to reconnect with self and others.

As a filmmaker who fell into digital by accident, I have an unwavering commitment to ensuring that as technology becomes more integrated into every part of our existence, creativity and genuine, analog connection continues to have a place in our hearts and minds.
